Budget Audit Preparation Starting September 2025

Real-world audit preparation taught by practitioners who've been through dozens of them. Not theory from textbooks—just the practical steps that actually matter when auditors show up.

We're running smaller cohorts this year because the best learning happens when everyone gets direct feedback on their actual budget documents. You'll work with your real numbers, not fake case studies.

Most people think audit prep is about having perfect books. It's really about knowing exactly what auditors look for and having your story straight before they ask the first question.

What We're Actually Teaching

Three courses launching between September and November 2025. Each one builds on the last, but you can join any of them independently depending on where you are right now.

  • Foundation Audit Readiness – September 16-20, 2025 – Setting up documentation systems that auditors trust
  • Advanced Variance Analysis – October 13-17, 2025 – Explaining budget differences without sounding defensive
  • Audit Response Workshop – November 10-14, 2025 – Handling requests and building confidence under scrutiny

How This Actually Works

Each program runs for five consecutive days with morning sessions and afternoon practice time. You bring your budget documentation, we review it together, and you leave with a clear action plan.

Small groups mean you're not sitting in the back of a lecture hall. We cap enrollment at twelve people because that's how many we can actually give proper attention to. When someone shares their budget challenges, everyone learns from the discussion.

Note: Sessions are held online via video conference with breakout rooms for document review. You'll need a stable internet connection and the ability to share your screen when we're reviewing your materials.

September 16-20, 2025

Foundation Audit Readiness

Building documentation systems from scratch. We cover chart of accounts organization, receipt management, bank reconciliation workflows, and creating an audit trail that makes sense six months later. Bring your current filing system and we'll figure out what needs fixing.

5 days • Morning sessions • 12 participant maximum
October 13-17, 2025

Advanced Variance Analysis

Learning to explain why your actuals don't match your budget without panic. We practice writing variance explanations, identifying legitimate reasons for differences, and knowing when a variance matters versus when it's just noise. Real budget examples only.

Audit Response Workshop
